Parents, Internet safety starts with you!
When you tell Internet Explorer to delete your temporary files and clear your cache, it's not all deleted. For whatever reason, Microsoft keeps your internet history hidden. What you clear out is just a very small part of your history. With a little typing and a few clicks you can see what very few people see. Question is, do you want to? Let's get started.
Click on your start button in the bottom left corner.
When the menu opens up click on: run
This will open the run dialogue box. Type in: %TEMP% as shown in figure 1. No spaces. Then select OK.
A new window will open. For now ignore what's there and click on the folder icon at the top as shown in figure 2.
Now double click on Temporary Internet Files.
(*TIP: If you have trouble double clicking simply single click and then hit enter)
Now double click on Content.IE5
Hopefully, it would never come to this. But, if I knew something was terribly wrong and I couldn't find the cause, I would do anything to help my child, even use a hidden camera to get my answers.
*Note: If you get a message about an unspecified security flaw don't worry about it and click YES.
